Carpet of Leaves

Come unto me,

all ye that labour

and are heavy laden,

and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28

After a cold night, it is as though a release button was activated. All the leaves are silently drifting, floating, raining, falling down.

Hi Donna, a magic carpet for sure. Makes me feel like a kid again when we would make giant piles of leaves and run and jump into them and even hide from one another. Thanks for the memory jog.

No priceless Persian carpet could hold a candle to that wonderful covering of leaves! Spectacular…doesn’t it make you want to run through them?!

    Yes, Nancy,
The nippy weather has quickened our steps somewhat already.

Yes, the sound of autumn…I wonder how wildlife can hunt successfully when every movement disturbs the leaves.
